The piece

A single letter cut at 15 by 14mm, carrying 0.35 carats of round natural diamond, on an 18-inch chain at 1mm. The whole set runs 3.50 grams. Initials are harder to build well than they look. Every letter has a different balance point, so a pendant that hangs straight for an I will tip for a J or a W unless the bail is placed per letter rather than dropped in the same spot each time.
